DC Metro K9 has formed a partnership with Bart Bellon.

This partnership between Bart and DC Metro K9 gives clients who desire a protection dog the opportunity to find a quality dog, with health, good nerves and good training from people with reputations they can trust.

Bart Bellon was born in 1960 and grew up in Burundi, a former Belgian colony. As a teenager, Bart trained dogs in Africa where dogs were being used to protect the land. When Bart came back to Belgium in 1974, he lived near the city of Mechelen, the hometown of the Malinois. Bart became a member of the Ringsport Club which was one of the most known clubs in Belgium. He started out as a helper at the club and continued in training and knowledge of the sport. In 1992, Bart won the Belgian Ring Championship with Flup, his crossbreed German Shepherd/Malinois dog. In 2002, Bart became again Belgian Champion with his well known Malinois Zodt. Between those two championships, Bart became the training director of his club where he trained at least seven Belgian Championship Teams. Together with Dr. Helmut Raiser, Bart helped writing `Contact` and was the brain behind the concept `Dancing with Malinois`. Bart travels around the world giving seminars (in five languages) and has an extensive client resume in providing and training Protection Dogs, including police departments throughout the world, special forces, and international VIPs.
